We are happy to consider Spirit Night Requests for tax-exempt organizations (under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code), as well as school district programs that do not operate for profit and is solely supported by state and local governments. Requesting organizations within our community must be organized and operated exclusively for exempt purposes set forth in section 501(c)(3), and none of its earnings may inure to any private shareholder or individual.
Our Community Connections Committee reviews requests during its monthly meeting, on the first Monday of each month. Therefore, requests must be received a minimum of one month in advance in order to be on the agenda for review. Please note our committee reviews each organization's tax filings on Guidestar.org. If there are no filings to review, the committee will be unable to consider a request. We will contact the requestor as soon as possible with the outcome of the request.
In general, Spirit Nights are generally held on Tuesday evenings. The hours, duration and donation amount is determined by the Community Connections Committee.
